Henri Nahabedian practices as a tax lawyer in the Montreal office of Lette & Associés, LLP, in domestic and international taxation (corporate and individual), as well as voluntary disclosures, estate planning and tax litigation.
More specifically, with respect to international taxation, Henri Nahabedian advises clients in the following areas: taxation of non-residents on income from Canada, tax treaties signed between Canada and foreign countries, investments in Canada by non-residents, transactions involving taxable Canadian property, taxation of Canadian foreign affiliates and migration of taxpayers. In domestic taxation matters, Henri Nahabedian’s services include: corporate reorganizations, estate freezes, rollover of shares or assets to corporations or partnerships, creation of family trusts and asset preservation trusts, drafting of wills and testamentary trusts. Henri Nahabedian also assists clients in matters of corporate and commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, shareholders’ issues, certain securities’ compliance requirements and other business law matters.
For seven years, Henri Nahabedian was a member of the editorial board of Stratège, a quarterly tax journal published by the Association de planification fiscale et financière. He has also been a member of the Bar of Quebec Committee on Corporations and Partnerships for several years. And he has been called upon by the Bar of Quebec to act as arbitrator.
